Studio Maternity Portraits

Aren’t these guys just the cutest? Two dapper young men are ready to add to their crew. One more little man is joining this adorable family. It was so much fun to celebrate this time in their lives for them. Pregnancy portraits can be a little nerve wracking for expecting mommas. I totally get it and aim to make all mommas feel super comfortable in my studio. And you can see that here she looks comfortable and happy doesn’t she?

Creating wall portraits for her family was awesome these portraits just naturally fit together in and cohesive story telling way. Telling the story of her family is the goal. Are you ready to tell the story of your pregnancy and your journey? Get in touch and let’s have a chat about your story.

Grateful Heart Maternity Fort Mill, SC

You guys this momma was so excited about her pregnancy it was contagious. Her joy her grateful heart and attitude, are just such an inspiration. After being a boy mom for years, 3 boys to be exact, she is expecting a little girl. And she is capturing this special occasion with Maternity portraits for her room.

I am so grateful she chose Insley Photography to help her create such a special wall display for her home. Her maternity portrait and baby girl’s newborn portrait will make a great before and after for the wall in her home. Personally I can’t wait to see how it will all turn out. Of course now we just have to wait patiently for her little one to arrive.

New Baby Boy

Baby J’s mom contacted me in response to a maternity model call. You may notice these are new baby photographs and not maternity ones. Poor mom sent me a message and not an hour later sent me a new one saying her doctor didn’t think she would make it to a photoshoot. Her doctor was right Sweet Baby Boy J was born the next day!

Babies have a mind of their own even before they are born. If you are thinking about having maternity portraits created or maybe you know you should document your pregnancy in some way please, please, please don’t delay call me today and lets get you reserved on my calendar. And don’t forget to ask about your free belly cast as well.

Ok enough jabbering about maternity photos and let’s talk about this sweet new baby. Isn’t he just precious? He loved being swaddled, he was happy to be in his birthday suit and he had no problem being moved to the bowl either. Saying he was chill little man would be an understatement.

And what about the wall collection I created for them? Don’t you just love it? That’s not their home of course. But I can create and show artwork on the walls in your home. Thanks to some pretty fancy software I can create mockups of your sweet new baby’s artwork on the walls in your home true to size. This makes your decision making process so much easier. No more trying to visualize what a canvas or framed portrait will look like in your living room. I can show you exactly how it will look. isn’t that amazing?

Dreamy Maternity Portraits in Studio

dreamy maternity in studio flowing cream dress

Dreamy Maternity

Momma E came in to model this cream dress for our studio look book. The dress photographed like a dream. Momma E wore it well. Don’t you all think she looks amazing? I love how it shows off her baby bump but is not too revealing. Leave her some love in the comments on these dreamy maternity portraits!

Some moms to be don’t want to show a lot of skin and this is a great way to celebrate your pregnancy without feeling exposed. Adding on a wrap or shawl could give you even more coverage if desired. This dress would also make a great post delivery momma and baby portrait.

Hopefully we can try it out when this little guy arrives this summer. Your family can’t wait to meet you little one! I look forward to meeting you when you visit the studio for your newborn portrait session. Thanks again Momma E for coming in and modeling my dresses I really appreciate it.

Newborn Baby Girl

newborn baby girl mom's veil treasured portrait

Newborn Baby Girl

Oh My Goodness, I totally loved this session. I mean I knew I would since I would get to catch up with a good friend from college. And get to see her newborn baby girl before any one else! One of the perks of being a newborn photographer, even in the winter I get to see all the babies first. But that is not why it will go down as one of my favorite portrait sessions from this year.

Why then you ask was I so stoked to photograph this adorable little one? Her mom brought in props. And not just any props. She brought in her wedding veil. Wedding veils are gorgeous of course and this one was no exception. But why was I hyperventilating over a veil. Because my friends props with meaning are the way to my heart strings. Your sweet innocent baby girl photographed on her momma’s wedding veil is going to become a treasured keepsake portrait for generations to come. It will mean just as much to this little girl in 30 years as it does to her momma right now.

Memory Keeper

As a memory keeper this kind of portrait makes my heart skip a beat. Knowing that she has an actual print of her favorite portrait of her baby in her wedding veil just makes my year. Knowing that print will last for 100 years and be viewed and shared with family. This my friends is why I encourage everyone to print their memories. Digital file storage devices have a shelf life of maybe 8 years before the device can corrupt or fail. Prints last a life time. Print your memories or come see me and let me create printed portrait memories for your family.

Treasured Pregnancy Portraits Remind Children They Are Loved

treasured pregnancy portrait

Pregnancy portraits treasured keepsakes

This beautiful family came to see me while they were waiting for their darling baby girl to arrive. Mom had a few ideas for the baby announcement and dear son had a few ideas of his own so we went with it. What you cannot see in these images are the basketballs and fire trucks he wanted in every photograph. Sweet toddlers are very determined when it comes to sports they love and super heroes they idealize.

Back to the portraits

This sweet family came prepared for anything and even brought the awesome fire truck. The fire truck was so cool with a working bell and everything. I will not lie I kind of wanted to keep it 😉 Creating treasured portraits is one of my favorite reasons to keep photographing these moments. The intimate black and whites portraits that capture that connection between mom and son are just beautiful.

Treasured images that make your heart sing.

The portrait that shows the family waiting and preparing for a new addition are heartwarming.  These pregnancy portraits are the ones that the kids will look at as teenagers and think my mom and dad wanted me so badly you can see it here. My parents love me more than life itself. The beauty of a family waiting for baby gosh I tell you I love this job! Creating treasured memories for my clients is my favorite.

Showing off their new sister

Showing off baby sister

Showing off their new sibling

These kiddos were so excited when they heard they were going to have a new baby sister. Then of course there was the waiting and the planning. Deciding how to decorate her nursery. Her big sister had a lot to say about the room decorations. And of course with older siblings there was the searching for all the baby stuff that had been put away. New baby girl clothes, toys, bottles, baby sounds and the inevitable questions.

A new sister, what’s that like?

What will she look like? What will she be like? Will she like us? How big will she be when she is born? Can we hold her right away? There is also some worrying. When will she arrive? Will she be healthy? Does she cry a lot? Will she play with my toys? That is the funny thing about new babies. All those questions and concerns seem to disappear once the little one arrives safe and sound. These big siblings were in awe of tiny little Nina. Here they are showing off their new baby sister. Congratulations to the whole family on the arrival of your newborn baby sister!
