Back where it all began for this beautiful family. This sweet couple called me and asked could we have their maternity portrait session at the location where they were married. Of course I said yes I would love to. Anytime we can go back to a location where a couple was married I’m in. First it is great fun for the couple and second it helps them relax for our portrait session. Having never been to this location before I was a little unsure of what we would find. Mom to be said it was a rock quarry at Carrigan Farms in Mooresville. I have been to the farm several times but I had never been to the quarry. And honestly I heard rock quarry and thought it was gonna be a bunch of weird rocks they could not use. How am I gonna make beautiful romantic pregnancy portraits in front of ugly, masculine rocks? Boy was I shocked this place is absolutely gorgeous.
And what a beautiful couple they make. These two are so excited to be parents and could not wait to meet their new little man. What a joy to work with these two. I hope they love these images as much as I do. We had a great time with the clothesline full of diapers, adorable baby blocks and cute little ducks. I cannot wait to see what they bring along when baby arrives.
What a joy it was to photograph them back where it all began. So how did I do with the ugly rocks? ;)
Yes that’s right it is November and I am still catching up. Without further ado here are my niece and nephews spring portraits. Plus a bonus one of their parents. Don’t those two love birds look fabulous ;)
Man was it chilly that morning and windy. But the kids powered through and we got some great portraits for Mom’s walls and yearly photo albums. Sorry mom for the delay.
Mr Landon was kind enough to bring his parents along to the newborn posing class I recently attended. They even dressed up to be photographed, which makes them rock stars in my book. Thanks guys. Little Landon was adorable and so content for Mom or Dad to hold him ;) I love to photograph new parents with their tiny babies. Getting them excited about dressing up so soon after a new baby arrives is a challenge but the pay off is always worth it. Some of my favorite images are of the family surrounding baby at the newborn session. What do you guys think about these?
Miss Ella was super alert when I arrived in Mooresville for her newborn portrait session. She was also very interested in her big brother. I love the image of her kissing his ear. I am not sure big brother was happy about that one, but he took it all in stride. Such a wonderful family to work with. I look forward to watching these guys grow up. Ella was a sweet angel in her wings ;)
