Miracles do happen, black and white pregnancy photo

My goal with every maternity portrait is to create a legacy for your family but lately I want to help more mothers. You see after more than ten years photographing motherhood I’ve found we are all in this together. And it’s hard work. I’m on a mission to share stories of real life. Of the messy middle, the beautiful beginnings and the truth that we are all in this together. Because miracles do happen even in this crazy world.

Why start with pregnancy?

It is extremely important for you to have a way to remember and connect with your child back to a time before he was born. What would you tell your baby now before he arrives  about your hopes and dreams for his future? What do you want to show him as he grows and changes throughout his childhood?

“He’s a miracle.”

you see she told me later, he was a baby she didn’t think she’d be able to carry. Pregnancy for her was something she had given up on. A dream she had put away in order to focus on the adoption journey they had just started. The doctors had told her it wasn’t in the cards for her.

Miracles do happen, b&W pregnancy photo, fort mill SCMomma K was expecting a new baby boy and really surprised and delighted to be pregnant. She was calm and confident about the whole experience, she didn’t seem nervous about any of it, not the delivery coming up, the newborn stage, the lack of sleep. She is prepared and elated for it all! I truly believe that kind of calm, wonder and joy comes from her experiences. She dreamed of carrying a child, but she also expected to adopt. Once the door to pregnancy opened for her she was ready to enjoy every moment of it. To soak it all in and glow in the moment.

Creating amazing images that her child will love seeing of his momma pregnant with him in her belly what an honor and gift for this mom to be. She was up for everything which is so much fun for a creative like me.
