Here are a few more of the images I took at After Dark Education in Charlotte this year. I know this was several weeks ago but I haven’t had a chance to show them yet. The older little girl was set up and lighting was done with Tanja Melone and Andrea Walker. The younger newborns were set up and lighting was from Valerie Tabor Smith. It was amazing to work with and learn from all the wonderful photographers at After Dark in charlotte. I will definitely be going back!
We had a great time this weekend with my little guy at the Pumpkin patch! Thank you to Two L Creations (in concord, nc) for the hat. J goes through phases of wearing and not wearing hats. Saturday he kept this one on most of the day and thank goodness because I forgot the sunscreen.
Just remembered I have a few Halloween Cards I haven’t shown off yet. If your planning a spooky party and still need to get your invites out give us a call. I still have time for a few Halloween sittings this week!
C let me talk her into maternity portraits for her third baby. They affectionately refer to him as Tater Tot while searching for a name. His big sister and brother seem to love them name, I wonder if it will stick once he is born. I photographed the family in the mountains of Virginia and I think the scene is beautiful. I cannot wait to meet this little guy. He is expected sometime in December. Mom looks beautiful here don’t you think?
Another sweet Newborn from my After Dark experience. This set up and teaching session was from Tanja Melone. She is a fabulous Newborn and Maternity photographer from Denver. I would love to study under her and see her in action again. This particular new baby girl is 6 weeks old but she is a preemie so developmentally she is just a week old here. She was a super model and was really patient with everyone photographing her under the studio lights. I love the hat.
Sweet Newborn baby girl also from my after dark education experience. She wasn’t sure she wanted to be a model that day but mom talked her into it. At six days old it is easy to be coaxed into a deep slumber. I love the skirt from Design Revolution. She is just as sweet without all the dress up clothes too! This set up and baby posing is also from Julie Klaasmeyer (a great baby photographer) who was teaching this section. Enjoy
After Dark Education was great. Here is another set of images also taught by Julie Klassmeyer. This handsome little guy is 6 months old and sitting up really well. He was a super ham and seemed to feed off of all the attention. It could have been because 98% of the students were women. Little boys this age seem to like to flirt ;) Enjoy
Wow guys I spent Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of this week at After Dark Education in Charlotte. It was amazing to spend three whole days with just photographers learning from the mentors and from the other students as well. I made many new friends and learned more than I could have imagined. Thank you to After Dark for putting on such an amazing workshop. Also many thanks to the University Hilton for being so hospitable. More than once I asked for things I forgot at home and the staff made sure I got what I needed. I will be posting a few images here as I get them edited. I photographed all the images I’ll show from After dark but I did not set up the backgrounds or lights. Thank you Julie Klaasmeyer! She is an amazing baby photographer and a wonderful teacher. Below are a few of the shots she set up. Julie set up this seen and posed this sweet baby girl. She didn’t seem to notice the 30+ photographers watching and photographing her. Maybe she’s a model in the making. The cute skirt and headband are from Design Revolution. They have the cutest props for baby girls.
Sweet 14 day old Gavin came in for his newborn portrait session. He woke up shortly after arriving. He was very alert for most of the shoot. Sweet newborns his age are sometimes hard to keep awake but not Gavin he was ready for his close up!
